The Event:

The Global Gathering is an opportunity for CFAN current and prospective members and guests to (re)connect and share their expertise and learning from the past year and look forward to what the next one will be bringing us.

The Location:

TÜBİTAK Turkish Institute for Industrial Management (TÜSSIDE) is a conference and training centre located in Gebze, an industrial town 50km south east of Istanbul’s centre, on the northern shores of the Marmara Sea. Housing some 15% of Turkish industry, Gebze is the natural home for the government’s Institute for Industrial Management, whose mission is to “To provide organizations training, consultancy, research and publishing services with human-focused approaches for their effective management and continuous improvement.”

The extensive facilities, located on a 20 hectare plot of land that is shared with a range of Turkish institutes under The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÚBITAK), include two amphitheatres, a conference room, five training halls and six study halls. There is a hotel with 100 rooms as well as a restaurant on site.

The Programme:

Every year the programme is built up with the help of CFAN members who come forward with exciting and interesting topics that they wish to provide to the network. This year is no exception. The theme for this year’s learning, the first two days, is “Business Environment & Change Management.” Anyone who feels they have something interesting to say or explore about the dynamic between the business environment and the discipline of change management is therefore invited to make a contribution. Anyone who contributes by organising a workshop may, if they wish to, take advantage of a discount on their participation fees.

We are eagerly awaiting this year's submissions. However, there are already a number of fascinating topics that came up during the regional gathering in Amsterdam. Please find these detailed here to pique and stimulate your imagination. Ideas for the CFAN Development day are also welcome.

After a successful reception last year, we are also looking to invite guest speakers to the conference to provide insightful external input.

Event Fees:

The conference is brought to you this year at € 900 for the full event. This includes four nights of accommodation in TÚSSIDE conference centre (nights of April 20th-23rd) as well as breakfast, lunch, and all dinners. Participants from non-European countries need only pay € 600.

It is also possible to attend for two or one days. The participation fee for an individual day is € 300.

Please ensure that you secure any necessary visas for your journey to and/or stay in Turkey in advance.
